Something special happens at a portrait session: a connection is established between the person and the camera and through the camera, a link is created with the viewer -- the seen meets the unseen. A gesture, an expression, a look opens a door, even if for a moment, when the viewer is afforded a glimpse of a person's inner being. That is the magical moment, the moment a portrait is created.
